The Semco SI-Y BMST 1–6S (60A/120A) is a dedicated lithium battery protection board safety and function tester designed for 1–6-series BMS/PCBs. It validates whether functional indicators stay within defined limits, giving production, IQC and R&D teams a repeatable standard to improve yield and quality control. It supports positive/negative split-port, same-port, charge-protect/discharge-protect topologies commonly used with ternary, LFP, LCO and LMO cells.

Four test modes cover the full workflow:

  • Rapid Test – upper/lower design limits for high-throughput shipment checks.

  • PBTS(M) Mode – evaluates protection delay at configurable speeds.

  • Accurate Test – measures key parameters with ±1 mV precision for debugging and development.

  • Lab Mode – independently programs each string from 0.5–5 V, simulates charge/discharge, checks MOS on/off state and monitors per-string operating current to validate equalisation and protection behaviour.

Core test items include internal resistance, individual overcharge/over-discharge and recovery voltage, OC/OD delay, charge/discharge protection current, over-current delay, secondary OC/OD delay, equalisation current/voltage and true per-cell self-consumption. A 120 A high-current module (±0.1 A) and programmable voltage module (0.5–5 V, ±1 mV) ensure realistic stress testing.

The upper-computer software (USB–RS232) coordinates the entire system, performs data acquisition and automatically generates Excel reports for traceability. It supports barcode self-start/manual start, pass/fail judgement based on user-defined specs and C++/C# DLLs for secondary development, enabling custom automated test flows or lab calibration processes.
