The Semco SI BCDS 23V 50A 8CH is a high-current, multi-channel storage battery charge–discharge tester designed for demanding applications where precise control and repeatability are critical. Each of the 8 independent channels supports 7.3–23 V constant-voltage charging (0.1 V step) and 2–20 V discharge cut-off, with tight tolerances of ±0.03 V to ensure accurate voltage control throughout the test process.

On the current side, the system provides 0.5–30 A adjustable charge current and 0.5–50 A adjustable discharge current with 0.1 A resolution and ±0.03 A accuracy, delivering up to 690 W charge power and 1000 W discharge power per channel. This makes it suitable for larger-capacity storage batteries where higher current and power levels are essential for realistic charge–discharge profiling.

The tester supports constant-current & constant-voltage (CC/CV) charging and constant-current discharge, with flexible cut-off conditions based on voltage, current, time and capacity. A built-in float charge conversion function automatically switches to trickle charging once the constant-voltage phase reaches 3.5 hours or the current drops to 0.3 A, matching typical storage battery charging requirements.

Key protections include power-down data protection, reverse connection, over-temperature, over-voltage and short-circuit protection, plus AC1000V/2 min insulation between channels for electrical safety. Data recording can be triggered by time, voltage or current intervals, and all results are managed via a TCP/IP (LAN) host communication interface with Excel report output, compatible with Windows XP and above.
